I accidently drop by Cyclemate to browse for my son's first motorcycle. Then I saw the Apollo Orion RX250 motorcross. I made a quick test ride and found that the power is adequate for my size. The seat height is 930 mm and I am 5'6". I have to stretch out both of my legs a bit to reach the ground eventhough they have drop the front forks to about 1 inch. The rear suspension is height adjustable. On the Motard, the seat height is 880mm so I guess you can drop the seat height to another 20mm to 30mm with further adjustments.
The design is modern, and trendy. Built quality is better than Demak DTM but still not a match with the KLX 250 and other Japanese motorcross bike. The pricing is attractive for a 250cc bike at RM12,880 with a RM800 discount and RM300 voucher. Good deal.
So... I paid the deposit of RM2,000 for the bike. I told my son to wait for next year for his first bike.
I have not got the bike just yet as Cyclemate told me that it is still getting the JPJ approval.
